Are you planning on traveling abroad?

This blog is about how to plan your trip, how do you find the cheapest flights, how do you find a cheap hotel, and most importantly of all how do you find the best local restaurants.  Below featuresmy good friend Stacey’s blog  where she covers how to plan your vacation and answering the questions that you might have such as  ‘how to find the best local restaurants?’ ‘how to find cheap flights?’ and ‘how to find cheap and good hotels?’

My homegirl Stacey @staceyallaround wrote a very helpful blog that teaches travelers (such as myself & you) on how to plan your trip, how to find the best food places, and how to find cheap hotels & flights. Stacey is also a fellow foodie and explorer, before I visit a country I usually get a list of recommendations of places to go and to go eat from her. Never a disappointment. I have sent her city guides to a few friends and they loved it!

How to Find the Best Local Restaurants from Staceyallaround

  • What also I find helpful is to ask the hotel receptionists or locals on what are the best local restaurants. Since the people are usually from the area or lived in the area for a while, they know what are the most popular  local restaurants and what is happening in that town (live music, when to go to the restaurant, what to order).
    • For example, while I was on a trip with my brother and his wife in Chiangmai. We got a list of recommendation from the Thai receptionists, we visited all of the restaurants she recommended. Delicious and cheap! Better than my other trips there when I only used tripadvisor!

  • Furqan and I usually compare the prices on those sites, you might find the same hotel for a cheaper price at one site than the other.

Now you find all of the places you want to go, how do you stay organized so you don’t miss your flights or get lost when you are abroad. She has great suggestions on what to do: How to Stay Organized On Your Trip by Staceyallaround

Another great app to download, that won’t require wifi when traveling is Maps.me It provides detail map, we used it to travel around Bali in the mountains without wifi access or phone reception. Download before you get into the city, so you can use it right away! Gives you GPS direction also!
