Quick 15 Minute Asian Noodle Bowl

This is the perfect meal when you are in a rush and want something savory, it only takes a total of 15 minutes. If you want healthier option you can use Shirataki Noodles (mostly made of fiber) or soba noodles!

What is in this savory meal sauce

  • 3 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tea spoon of minced ginger
  • 1/4 of carrot minced
  • 1/2 of package of ground turkey or preferred meat (.25 kg or 1.1 lb)
  • 1/5 cup of chopped cilantro/coriander (go crazy)
  • 1/5 cup of diced chives
  • 5 tea spoon of soy sauce (Any brand is fine, I buy Kikkoman)
  • 3-4 teaspoon of cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 pinch of cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch of preferred sugar (sugar, or honey)
  • Salt & a lot of black pepper
  • 1-2 small drip of sesame oil
  • 2 servings of noodles
  • 2 servings of preferred green leafy veggie (spinach, bokchoy, other greens)

Optional: put in Jen’s Spicy Hot Oil

How to Make the Soul Soothing Wonton: 

  1. Prepare 2 pots, one for boiling the noodles & veggies. The other for the meat sauce. Start boiling the water for the noodles since it will take a while
  2. Chop the garlic, ginger, cilantro, carrots
  3. Put the cooking oil into a hot pan, and put the garlic and ginger in until slightly golden
  4. Once the garlic and ginger is golden put the ground meat in the hot sizzling pan. Keep stirring until the ground meat breaks into small bites, add more oil if needed
  5. Add cumin seeds, soy sauce, preferred sugar, 1/4 cup of water, a lot of black pepper, and carrots into the pot with the turkey. Let it cook until the liquid simmers down
  6. Taste to see if it is salty enough, if not add more salt or soy sauce. Drizzle sesame oil in
  7. Once the pot of boiling water is ready put the noodles in and let it cook, once it is almost cook  throw in the green veggies. Take out put in a serving bowl
  8. Pour the sauce over the noodles, add Jen’s Spicy Hot Oil, chopped cilantro and chopped chives.
  9. Now you eat it one bite at a time
